The Daily could be considered one of the “old hats” of work hacks, but in times when our everyday life is characterized by additional tasks and challenges, it is once again gaining relevance. Basically, it’s about preparing for the day with three simple questions and making one’s tasks, goals, and challenges transparent for the other team members (colleagues, partner, kids,…):
1. What did I do since the last Daily?
2. What do I want to achieve until the next Daily?
3. What obstacles are in my way?
Depending on the size of the team, solutions for how to eliminate obstacles and problems can then be discussed in the whole group or under four eyes.
TIP: The Daily should take place consistently every day at the beginning of the workday and last no longer than 15 minutes. This method also works great remotely.
Work Hacks are simple, yet original, methods that can be implemented quickly and directly. They improve collaboration and results in the work context.
In this series we will introduce tried and tested Work Hacks that will effectively improve collaboration.
